Flora (Latin: Flōra) is a Roman goddess of flowers, fertility and spring who protected the early blossoms. She was a minor Roman goddess who typified the season of Spring and generally represented life, bountifulness, vegetation, flowers and gardens — in short, the good life. Her name is derived from the Latin word ‘floris’ meaning flower.
