Biography
Born on August 6, 1969; Dr. Shabahang Mohammadi is a known Iranian Otorhinolaryngology surgeon working in Tehran. In 1987, he started to study General Medicine in Tehran University until 1994. In 1995, he started his work as a General practitioner at Persian Gulf Medical Center in Qeshm Free Area, Iran. Afterwards, he studied his Post-doctoral degree of Otolaryngology in Iran Medical University, Tehran from 1996 until 2000. Having received his Board Certification, he started his career as an ENT surgeon at Rasoul Akram Hospital for the first time. He then had a fellowship of Head and Neck Oncology and a fellowship of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery from the European Board of ORL-HNS.
Today, Dr. Mohammadi is working within a team to boost the treatment process. Together, they had discoveries about cancer therapy and ENT surgeries. Since 2005, he has started performing special surgeries such as forehead lift for the first time in Iran. He has also performed over 500 free flap surgeries during his career. He has also combined various types of reconstructive surgeries with tumor removals to help patients experience a better life quality. In his academic life, Dr. Mohammadi has published over 30 scientific papers in international journals. He has also kept traveling to Europe and the US to take part in various conferences at least 3 times a year. More Information About Dr. Shabahang Mohammadi
Dr. Shabahang Mohammadi started his path of medicine in Tehran University of Medical Sciences l, where he completed a General Medicine. He, then, followed his study with a post-doctoral degree of Otolaryngology (4-years of residency with Board Certificate) in Iran Medical University. By working at Rasul Akram Hospital, he could gain practical experience of ENT surgery beside his studies. From that time on, he is also working as an associate professor at University of Tehran. To keep his knowledge updated, Dr. Mohammadi keeps traveling worldwide to take part in Conferences related to ENT.
In 2016, he started his International Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology (IFHNS). He also took a fellowship in the European Union and US and received his Board-certification. From 2021, he started a fellowship of the European board of ORL-HNS European board in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (EBEORL-HNS).

Dr. Mohammadi has started his work as a General practitioner at Persian Gulf Medical Center in 1995. After receiving his post-doctoral specialty in 2000, he began his career path of ENT surgeries at Rasoul Akram Hospital in Tehran. From 2000 onward, Dr. Shabahang has been focusing on head, neck, and larynx surgeries and kept trying to increase the quality of his works. Afterwards, he is also teaching as an associate professor in Iran University of Medical Sciences. With over 25 years of experience on ENT surgeries, Dr. Mohmmadi has worked in various hospitals in Tehran such as Rasoul Akram Hospital, Firoozgar hospital Khatam Hospital.
Today, Dr. Shabahang is working with a specialized team to boost the results and make things go faster. He has faced many ups and downs during his career. With his team, Dr. Mohammadi has worked on numerous scientific papers and held online webinars that has helped have discoveries about cancer therapy and various types of surgery on head, neck, and larynx. 17 years ago, in 2005, they have introduced several types of surgeries such as forehead lift in Iran. The surgery is performed by making an incision on the face and then surgery on forehead, eyebrows and lower facial areas using endoscopy. Dr. Mohammadi has also performed over 500 free flap surgeries which is a complicated and hard type of surgery. He believes that it is not enough to remove the tumor for patients with cancer. To experience a better life quality, they need further reconstructive surgeries. He has also worked specially in treating facial paralysis which is either genetic or as a result of an accident. Together with the team, Dr. Mohammadi tries to do his best to provide patients with the highest quality of ENT surgery with the lowest amount of risks.
